Forest soul Mavka faces an impossible choice between her heart and her duty as guardian to the Heart of the Forest, when she falls in love with the talented young human musician Lukas.

The plot revolves around the controversial relationship between maid Stefania Chornenko and blueblood Adelia Anger against the backdrop of the provincial Austro-Hungary in 1900. Both Stefania’s parents and Adelia’s mother died during the fire. Adelia’s father adopted neighbors’ orphan. Girls grew up together to become as close as sisters, though Stefania served as the maid. This attachment develops into love-trap: on one hand full of mutual manipulation and jealousy, but equally based on сare and devotion. The illusion of balance is broken when Adelia marries sculptor Petro. Everything gets even more complicated when Joseph, the old love interest of Stefa, returns to town as the priest and married man. Illusions are destined to evaporate and reality comes into focus.

The story is set during the World War II. Seven prisoners manage to escape from the penitentiary and hide in a small village forsaken of God and men. Soon after they respire, they face a new hardship - a German subversive group appears near the village. And as the fate decree, the former 'enemies' of the Motherland turn into its fierce defenders. War mutilates lives of millions of people, but sometimes it is the war that makes even the most thorough scoundrel in the world to remember that he is also a MAN.

The situation becomes more complicated because of an act of sabotage, which has been committed before their take-off at the aerodrome. Instead of being granted a medal "Star" for his 100th flight, he is pronounced a traitor and is to be executed.

Among other exhibits, there is one special one - the Bible - it should become the basis for an exhibition under the patronage of Comrade Stalin himself, but the Germans also have plans for this thing. The path is long, and the road is full of dangers. It happens that instead of her family, Asenka will be accompanied by a complete stranger, whose fate is full of unpleasant mysteries, and whose habits and habits make her fear him rather than trust him... but she cannot survive alone.

A year after a crazy wedding, another surprise, another daughter and a new son-in-law, they become part of the most crazy adventures showing high-quality Ukrainian humor.

The comedy plot unfolds around two totally different families: the Drahomanov working in culture and the Nalyvaychenko who are local businessmen. Tricks, frame ups and oppositions, adventures, unexpected guests and crazy money, different views not only on barbecue marinade recipes but also on the right ways to live. This is a story telling us that no matter how different we are and how much we quarrel, we are always a united, powerful force in the face of a common threat.
